Its a 1948 Stylemaster panel van made by Chevrolet, the van is based upon the fleetline car which was manufactured by Chevrolet in Port Elizabeth, USA, Canada and Australia in the 1940's
Our van has had a few modern upgrades, disk brakes have been fitted as the drum brakes would often lockup and that can be very scary in this big old girl, a 5 speed gear box has been fitted to handle the long West Coast roads, which gives better fuel consumption, the engine is the original straight 6 that it came with from the factory and the rear axel was also change to slows for the 5 speed gear box out of a Toyota. if you would like to know more call Darren 0834482177
Who
Darren the owner of West Coast Office National is a big fan of the 50s and 60s where he feels things where made to last a lifetime. The stylemaster is 74 years old and still going strong, its become difficult to get original parts, but its sometimes a good idea to go with more modern parts like brakes.
